South Challenge Cup
Eyemouth 0 - Dundonald 5 Smith (3), Campbell, Sibanda
Bluebell made the long journey to Eyemouth for this South Challenge Cup 2nd Round tie. Having beaten their opponents 6-0 only a few weeks ago the
bell were in confident mood going into the match. As expected Bluebell took the game to their opponents from the off and took the lead on the 9th minute when Smith scored after penman drove a free kick across the 6 yard box. Bluebell then had the majority of pressure but were struggling to turn the possession into goals until a quick double either side of half time had the game sown up as a contest.
The 2nd goal on the 43rd minute was all down to tenacious play by striker Barry Sibanda who chased down the home goalkeeper forcing him into an error where Sibanda then collected the ball before calmly rounding the keeper and placing the ball in the net despite the attempts by an Eyemouth Defender to clear.
Half Time 2-0
Just after the restart on 47 minutes Sibanda again did well to drive the ball across goal and the ever alert Smith knocked the ball home.
The bluebell put the gloss on an accomplished performance with further goals by Smith on 79 minutes and Campbell on 80 minutes to record a comfortable away win which takes the club into the next round.
