East Superleague

 Dundonald 3    -  Whitehill Welfare  1

           Smith (2), Drumond

Dundonald welcomed Whitehill Welfare to Moorside Park for the first ever meeting between the two sides.

Bluebell started the game exceptionally well and had the game more or less wrapped up within the opening 25 minutes by racing to a 3-0 advantage.

The first goal after 7 minutes came after excellent play by MIkey Ness resulted in him delivering a great cross into the box that was volleyed home by the Bluebell number 9 Calum Smith.

With the away side struggling to get out there own half the bluebell doubled the lead on 12 minutes from a corner that was knocked back across goal by Smith for Drummond to head home from close range.

The 3rd goal on 25 minutes was a result of poor defending from Welfare.  With there central defender misjudging a long ball that allowed Stuart Cargill to race through one on one and  slip the ball past the Whitehill keeper.

Bluebell were well in control for the remainder of the first half but they gave away a silly penalty just before half time. However, keeper Lennox redeemed himself with a fine save.

In the 2nd half the Bluebell without reaching the heights of the first half comfortably controlled the game and never looked in danger of letting the lead slip.  Whitehill did get a consolation goal on 72 minutes with a tidy finish from a headed knock down.

Dundonald continue there good run in the league with only one defeat so far and will look forward to what promises to be a cracker away to in form Camelon this Saturday.
