East Superleague

 Dundonald 2  - Penicuik Athletic 3

Drummond , Ness

After last weeks disappointing result in the Scottish cup it was back to league duties for Dundonald but they faced Penicuik Athletic a team who always seem to get the better of them. It was slow a start from both teams but the visitor eventually started to gain the upper hand and took the lead when they broke down the right and fired the ball across goal when it reached the far post their player was unmarked and slotted the ball into the net. Moments later it took a great save from the Dundonald keeper, James Lennox to stop the visitors from increasing their lead. The only chances the home side had in this half was a long range effort from new striker Stuart Cargill and a shot from Drummond which went over the bar.

Half Time 0-1

The home support were hoping for a better display from their team in the second half but unfortunately it did'nt happen. A cross into the box was headed home to increase the visitors lead then they scored another when a shot from the edge of the box found it's way into the net. Dundonald pulled one back when Smith did well to gain possession on the left. The big striker fired the ball across goal and Drummond was on hand to slot the ball into the net. The home side pulled another one back when Ness did well to gain some space on the edge of the box before slotting the ball into the corner of the net. Dundonald continued to put the visitors under pressure in the closing stages of this game but could not get an equalizer.

Full Time 2-3

This was poor performance from Dundonald they never looked up for this game and only started to play when they were three down. They got away with a poor first half display earlier in the season where they eventually ran out winners but in this league if they don't play for the whole ninety minutes they will find themselves trouble.
