After winning their last two games Dundonald  where hoping to make it three out of three by beating local rivals Burntisland. After a quiet start Dundonald began to dominate the play and took the lead when Gay rififled  a great shot

into the net from the edge of the box. The visitors increased their lead five minutes later when Smith rounded the keeper and slotted the ball into the net. Burntisland to their credit didn't let their heads go down and could have pulled a goal back but where denied by a great last ditch tackle by Ross Drummond. Dundonald scored again when Rogerson found Ness, out on the left, and the young midfielder played in Campbell who stroked the ball into the net. With the half time whistle approaching Smith got his second and Dundonald's fourth when he scored from the edge of the box.

Half Time 0-4

Dundonald started the second half hoping to not be complacent and where unlucky not to increase their lead when McKenzie went through one on one but the keeper came out on top when he made a fine save. A great run then shot by Drummond, from deep in his own half ,was also well saved by the Burntisland keeper. When it looked like Dundonalds luck in front of goal had deserted them Campbell set up Smith with a good ball in from the right which the big striker put into the net for his hattrick. Smith scored his fourth at the second attempt after the keeper saved his first effort. McKenzie rounded off the scoring when he got goal  number seven.

This was another good three points for Dundonald and their third away win in a row. Hopefully their home form will improve now for next weeks game with Sauchie.
